I remember when I was a sophomore in high school (kind of scary that its 7 years ago) I was given a demo cd by United. I had no idea who they were or anything but it sat in my cd player for at least a month. Now they are quite commonly known as Hillsong United and known they are. Within church music you would be hard pressed to find 5 bands or artists more used in churches. They are the more upbeat and electric guitar driven band from Hillsong, a ginormous church in Australia. Their most recent cd came out earlier this year and it continues to build on the incredible songs they continue to come up with at their church and in their Bible/music school. Next Sunday I’ll be serving with the Sunset Pres worship team for the main services Sunday morning and we’ll be doing the song “The Solution.” It might not sound like it, but I do think it can be a corporate worship song. Probably not for every church though. I’ve done it several times acoustically (amazing eh?) at Fusion. Here is a live video.
