I listen to 1080 sometimes, not usually their Club 1080 thing though. I think the high school group has done Savior King a couple times, but not for Sunday services. I do really like the song, but yeah we do have to cut down on the length to make it work. Only Hillsong can pull off a successful 10 minute song.

Tyler, do you listen to Club 1080 on the Fan? Your blog reminded me of their music Thursdays. This week was top 5 breakup songs.

Congregational song? Sure. Where it might be a problem with singing songs that are simple repeated choruses are if you have limited instrumentation and/or one/few singers. That gives you less to work with with dynamics. Ya know?

What I love about Hillsongs vids/DVDS is that is inspiring to see their choirs and their people passionately worshipping God.

We don't sing this song at our church www.greshambible.org Maybe in a few years. We busted out Potter's Hand last week yo!

It's cool your asking for feedback. I suggested this at a meeting and got shot down...HARD!

Do you guys sing Saviour King? I love that song, although it repeats and is long. If you do, do you cut down the length?

I attended a church last weekend and it seemed as if the songs just kept on going and going. For some songs I find myself really getting lost in the song and I love to worship like that, but other times, it is just annoying. I guess it depends on where the Spirit is moving. Sometimes simple is better.
