Blogiversary

Happy blog day to you!
Tyler, the thing I like most about your blog is you have challenged me at various points to go beyond superficial sharing in my blogging.
My “favorite” blog (I’m not sure if that is what to call it) was porn nation 3 (http://manofdepravity.com/2008/07/11/porn-nation-3/).
It sparked me to share my story on my blog. To practice what I was preaching about being real. That was a huge leap of faith. Scary stuff.
That little step it now enabling me to take bigger steps. We are going to have a cardboard testimony in a few weeks in church; and I am going to stand there in front of the body and boldly proclaim God’s victory in my life over pornography.
As Carlos said: “every click is a heartbeat”.
I am just one “click” in your life.

I loved the post that led me to you – the one on women in ministry. I love, love, love that although you and I hold differing views on this we became blog friends. That’s what I’ve always longed for as the church addresses this issue – respectfully caring for one another in the midst of differing opinions.

Congratulations on the anniversary! I think it’s cool that you’ve stuck with it that long. I never have enough to say that’s interesting & would probably give it up after a few days.

I learned about your blog in a bulletin at Sunset and love to read your opinions. I also enjoy that you have a listing of other Sunset members blogs so I can go there & learn more about them as well.

It’s funny how some Sundays I want to walk up & say hi….cool video of Alaska, or something to Jay or Jill just because I saw it in your blogs. However, I’m sure you’d all think that strange as you don’t know me from Adam….is this stalking??

Can’t choose a fave, I started reading your series on things you learned as a PK. I like your thoughts on leading worship and worship between generations and how you share what’s going on with you. I always look forward to learning/reading something useful or fun or weird on your Fortuitous Bouncing posts. I think you are a unifier, your blog facilitates some very cool conversations and people see your heart for God and so we stick around. Thanks for the invite to Praise the One worship night.
