I frequent blogs of friends...just to keep on what they are up to. I also frequent blogs that challenge my thinking/perspective on subjects that matter to me. I particularly savor blogs that not only welcome, but outright solicit input. They have a nice interactive feel.

I read your blog to find out what you think about things and to to learn about what's going on in your life. Your blog is the only one I consistently read and you do a good job of writing for your community of readers. Especially since they are a pretty conservative bunch. And you do a good job of pushing the envelope, but not pushing too much.

I think it depends on why I'm reading that particular blog. If it's a friends blog, I find most posts interesting because it gives me a window into their life and I'm a big people person. I find that fascinating. So I suppose I enjoy posts (and this is just for me) on ministry, testimony, and our real life journeys. I'm all about the honesty. For instance. If someone writes a post and just quotes a bunch of other people, that's boring to me. I want to know what YOU think and feel and struggle with . I want to know how it intersects with your life - how is it real to YOU? I do enjoy ministry posts with advice (most of them that aren't too grandiose and pretentious). I enjoy the comments on those because it gives me a glimpse into what means the most to me - the story of people's lives.

And that's what I tend to write about too....How my faith is intersecting with the realities of my world and journey in it. I'm not flashy. I write about worship alot because I am a worship pastor, I write sometimes about my family, or trips, and my testimony - whatever God is doing in my life right then. I am not a fan of arguing and many of my readers attend my church so I tend to avoid some controversial topics I really need to hit head on. I'm working on how I want to do that.
