We don’t have AC in our apartment, so any day over 90* makes for a warm afternoon and evening at our place. Last night it was over 80 in our apartment at 11:45pm. I honestly think you can do just fine without AC in Portland during the summer, but days like yesterday (95*) make it a little more difficult.

This looks like a great list o’ Links
Can’t wait to check some of them out. BTW.. I totally get the no A/C thing, I have none in my house or car. God has blessed us here in the NE with a cool summer. God Bless and stay cool! Robin
When I moved to Portland (from Texas) it was during a series of record highs (mid-high 90s). Everyone was freaking out and saying “stay inside and drink a lot of water. The temp itself wasn’t a big deal, but the no A/C was killer. Fortunately I lived right across the street from the mall, so I would just go over there and walk around for an hour to cool off.
loved hearing Jimmy Carter speak up about women. He makes many of the points I’ve tried to bring up within the walls of the church. Interesting to see and read. Thanks for sharing.
It seems like there are a handful of weeks when AC comes in really handy. We finally got a window unit and it’s been nice to have, especially when we get a stretch of several 90+ days. Those add up quickly.
I just gotta say…for me, I’ve been at my current place for a few years now and decided one day to get A/C installed. One of the best investments/home improvements I’ve ever had.
