Lots of people running around the lakes and such. Northern Iowa was a different story. All the boats were in a bay on the lake and they were all drinking it up. There was one health club in the entire town of 20,000 and it was pretty small...and there really was no health food section in any grocery store I went to. It reminded me of my grandparents that I miss so terribly. One night I was with my grandmother at a hotel and I came out of the bathroom and she was watching Jerry Springer! There were about 20 women with GINORMOUS chests (barely covered) on there and she looked at me with such innocence and said "Do you think those can be real?". I laughed myself silly and said "Um. No. I don't think so!". Very funny. And I had one of those "Urban Outfitters" moments with my son in H & M in San Francisco. I said "I don't care if that is in style. You are not wearing a shirt with a bow on it!". He did not want to wear it but just to be clear and all :). Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. Missed you! your comments made me giggle.
