What have been the greatest benefits of attending seminary? What have been the biggest frustrations or disappointments?

Got my undergrad at Multnomah and am a fellow lover of all things Portland. You've got yourself a great blog!

Question for you, Tyler. Actually, two parts:

What do pastoral leaders (LP, SP, TP, etc.) who have input on the music worship plan formation each week need to know about working with their worship leaders? In short, what is most important for a healthy relationship between pastoral leaders and worship leaders/pastors? (Or, to put it bluntly: what do you wish pastoral leaders would understand/ask/be?)

The second is the flip-side:
How would you advise a young worship leader to deal with his or her pastoral leaders?

---
My emphases here are that these "working" relationships must be healthy in that they need to be more personal not just work.

After reading "I know I have gifts in music but I also am drawn to the discipleship process through the role of spiritual formation."...

What does it mean to you to be a disciple and what is the outcome or result of this discipleship process you are drawn to?
