Twitter Does Some Good

I’m not a fan of Twitter. I’m in class so I don’t have time to get into why right now…I will some other time.

However, I saw something pretty sweet today that involves twittering.

A college student on a study abroad was arrested in Egypt. He twittered “arrested” which notified his friends, who then notified authorities. He had been told about Twitter from friends only a week earlier.

Will it make me start Twittering?

no.

Am I more intrigued?

yes.
