Leavin' On a Jet Plane
Well I’m being spontaneous today…something I usually do not do. My sister Karissa is graduating from college tomorrow at 9am in Los Angeles from Biola University. My mom called me this morning and asked if I would want to go if I could (my family is already down there). I said…..”um, sure.” I have today off, the weekend off, and Monday off, so it would be possible.
So I’m flying standby thanks to a family friend who works for Alaska Airlines (huge thanks to you). Standby means I may or may not get on any flight I shoot for. First try, 2:30pm west coast time. So here I sit and wait.
Going through security was interesting. I was “randomly” selected to get ultra checked. Wipe down all my stuff, grope my entire body. The worst part was that I think the wife played a joke on me. I am grabbing something for him to check and THIS falls out.
Yep that is travel “facemask” crap. First….I don’t know what to say to the security guy. I mean….what do you say to that? “Um….thats not mine.” Its in my bag, that won’t work. Second, it is a lotion which you have to declare to security so he got all pissed at me.
Luckily I made it through. Its wet and 55 today in Portland. The worst part is the weather is crud in LA. Cloudy and 65. So lame.
Updates to come. Hopefully I get on, say a prayer.

Tyler Braun.
Hope you get a flight out Tyler.

Hahahaha!!! Way to go Rose!
That’s awesome.
Hope you have a great time with your family and congrats to your sister. Even though it was Biola…spoken from an APU dude
Hey, how’d you get my facemask cream?
o gale. i never meant to steal it. i just had to have it.
i am cracking up!
And….such a techie guy in the picture.
(the earbuds, taking a pic with your cell phone, with your computer in front of you. Ha!)
Hey, good goin’ getting on the flight! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend together, celebrating Karissa’s graduation.
You might as well try using the facemask. It probably has a dynamo anti-smog component.
If you ended up at Disneyland, it would be cool to have it on for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” ride! (argh….)
