Fridays Are For New Music: The Best Album in 6 Months!

I know, I know, it has been forever since I’ve done these.

A few weeks ago I bought one song from Charlie Hall’s new album The Bright Sadness and loved it…so then I bought 5 more and loved them all. It really is the best album I’ve heard in the past 6 months…right up there with Coldplay. If you even spend a few bucks on it, you will be satisfied.

This is probably the sweetest homemade YouTube I’ve ever seen made by a musical artist. You have to watch it, especially the last half of it when he walks down the stairs. Mystery by Charlie Hall and band all throughout a house in Oklahoma City.

And this would be my favorite song on the album. Kind of like Mat Kearney but with such a strong message. I can’t get enough of this song. Hookers and Robbers.

I have always loved Hall. He is the understated hero of the Passion movement in my opinion.

I’ve been a fan of Hall since his Porch and Altar record. I’ve been wanting to pick this and the Tomlin, but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
