My favorite line-o-horror growing up: “And in closing…”, which guaranteed at least fourteen more minutes of inane babble about how you’ll feel when you get to the Final Judgment and your kids point at you and say, “You never told me…!”

Lame.

So true… i recall a “sunrise” service in 20 degree weather, windy, and freezing snow. There were 20 some of us from different churches and the preacher wouldn’t give up on an altar call. After about 10 minutes of beseeching people to respond I finally said aloud, who in their right mind would be out here if they weren’t already saved?
