Starting to Twitter.
Wow…I hear the snide remarks already. Leave ‘em at the door.
You can read my reasons for why I haven’t Twittered yet HERE.
Why am I starting to Twitter NOW you ask?
Well let me tell you…
- I’m not in school right now and I have loads of free time (which was one of my big reasons for not using Twitter).
- I haven’t been online near as much and will be off a lot when I’m in Alaska. It will allow me to stay somewhat connected with friends.
- I have unlimited text and a phone built for texting so I might as well take advantage.
Feel free to follow me HERE. A lot of you already do even though I’ve never done an update (haha).
I’ll give this a shot for the next 3 weeks and I’ll see if it is worth sticking with.
Feel free to give me some advice on how to make my experience the best, because I don’t really know what I’m doing.

So many things I want to say…all I will say is I knew you would. for someone who blogs like every other second the whole ” I don’t have time for twitter” was always a weak argument. The bottomline is you started twittering because all your friends do and you felt you were always missing out on stuff. its ok to admit it man…

But, on a serious note. I love Tweetdeck as an application to run Twitter. And, it does a great job of managing replies.

oh and PLEASE don’t just use twitter to point us to your blog…that’s bad etiquette

Kurt- Actually almost none of my friends from home and from college use Twitter. This IS actually that I think I have the time to blog and twitter. And don’t worry I won’t twitter about my blog too much because I don’t like that either.

Can I use TwitPic by sending a picture message or does it have to be an email?
I had others but I forget now.
My understanding is the only way your able to use twitpic is to email it.

I remember another question. How can I get a small feed of twitter onto my blog?

Actually you can use twitpic by email or upload a file on their site. Hope to catch you twitter.

Vin is right, you can upload from your computer as well. Of course, that won’t help you on the mobile end. I am hopiing that Twitpic goes SMS some day.

Use the HTML code. Wordpress doesn’t allow Java or flash. Just insert it into a text widget on your Wordpress dashboard under appearance and you should be good to go.
Matt- I actually surprised myself that something in me today thought I should do this. I’m fairly sure that we didn’t bet though. Sorry.
