Real Men

When I go to seminary classes I usually take mass transit to get there. Last Friday I was listening to Mark Driscoll’s message from March 23rd about biblical manhood (link to podcast HERE). I enjoyed his message quite a bit, though it definitely had some vintage Mark rants directed towards men than he called cowards. It is worth a listen.

At the end I spent some time trying to figure out what he was saying the main thing it takes to be a real man.

And a few hours after I figured it out. The answer that answers all the questions about what makes a real man.

Real men…don’t use toilet seat covers.

What do you think makes a real man?

Yes most real men nowdays to use what I call a Texas T-Shirt. Also real Men do cry and it is not a sign of weaknes but a sign of a man who shows he is alive. Also Real Men do eat quiche.

The most important thing for a Real Man is to say He serves A Risen Saviour. So don’t be afraid to show your feelings you real Men out there in Blog Land.

    Smile God Loves You,

Current situations call for me to say, “Real men toughen up or die!”* We choose the good fight. We love our wives and families fiercely even when it seems uncool.

    * A retired river pilot uttered this about someone who hurt their ankle and insisted on being returned to shore even though it interfered with the outing of a couple of hundred other folks.

My mom always taught me growing up that real men hold open doors.
