Run Rev Run

Many of you know that I am a runner. I typically run 15 to 20 miles a week, though I’ve been running more lately to start preparing for the half-marathon I hope to run in mid-June.

I run for a lot of reasons.

I run because I work several really long days each week and running gives me better endurance for those brutal days.

I run because pastors need to be healthy too, not just preach about it.

I run as an escape from life.

I run because it gives me something in my life to be competitive about.

I want to let you know about a new blog that I’m going to be a part of named #RunRevRun. It’s a blog written by seminary students and pastors who have a strong desire to remain active and healthy. Here’s the tagline for the blog:

Ministers are people too, people who need to live healthy lives. This site is a place for pastors and friends to share stories about trying to keep — or get — fit, for this you can also use the best fat burning pills for a faster result. We’re runners and walkers, vegetarians and meat-lovers, those who practice yoga and those who can’t even touch their toes, but we believe our bodies are a gift from God. This site is a place to share our journey of faith and fitness.

For those of you with any interest in running and exercise, I’m sure it will be a blog you’ll enjoy. And for those of you who have no interest in those things, you probably need to read it more than others 🙂
