Announcement: My 2012 Book Tour

The number one question I’ve been asked over the past two weeks is, “Are you going to do a book tour?”

The short answer is no. The long answer is that very few authors go on actual traveling book tours now. It’s cost prohibitive, and the power of the internet makes them somewhat unnecessary.

Included in that long answer is that, yes, I did go on tour. In fact, my “tour” is still ongoing. Over the past few weeks I’ve written posts and have been interviewed on lots of my favorite blogs (read those at the bottom of this post).

There’s a myth in the book publishing world, that if you write a book, your work is done. While this may apply to a select few, most authors have to work hard to get their message out into the world even after the book has hit shelves and online retail screens.

So I’ve been hard at work trying to support a message I believe my generation, and many others, need to hear. It’s a message God slowly worked out in me over the past year and now I’m excited to challenge and encourage many others.
