It Keeps Growing

So…I have long hair and a beard. It is the 2nd time in my life I’ve gone 6 months without a hair cut and the first time I’ve had a legitimate beard.

Just about everyday Rose asks me to cut the hair…though she doesn’t mind the beard too much.

But I am torn. I don’t really like the idea of getting a hair cut, and the beard keeps me warm on my bike rides to/from work and on my walks to/from school. Plus the whole look is very Oregon-esque.

So I need your input…

What do you think?

Keep it? Cut it? Shave it? Go for the Forrest Gump run across the country look?

You tell me.

have you seen pictures of my boyfriend (flickr or facebook)- he totally has short hair and a beard…or overgrown scruff whatever you’d like to call it. it’s a good look! if you’re wife doesn’t mind the facial hair but is fussing about your mop, then maybe cut the mop, might be a nice look on ya…

and i think we know amos’ opinion on the topic…ha ha ha

maybe you just need a trim to make it a bit neater, not a total haircut……i like the beard. it makes you look wise….

I like the longer hair and beard. Just don’t let the beard get all scrappy – that’s gross. You could get a little trim on the hair to tidy-it-up (but that’s the “mom” in me talkin’). Looks good!

  4. Rose (your wifey) says:

hmmmm…seems like everybody is on my side…:) trim, or cut whatever you want to do- i think the hair needs some work- but i like the beard- just don’t go crazy alaskan fisherman on me. Whatever you do- you know i think you are hot no matter what! i love you :)

    Grow, baby, GROW! Keep going!

Tyler- You starting to look like Kurt (not saying this is good or bad, just saying you starting to look like Kurt).

You can cut your hair..trim it…probably not bald like Matt, only he can pull that off. Matt’s sexy bald head is the reason why they invented Gillette.

I say lose all but the chin scruff. Or go full Quaker and dare people to comment.

No opinion one way or the other on the hair.

I say leave it, and join in with some friends and i in no-shave-november, to be followed closely by dirty-stache-december.

  9. Laura VG says:

Shave it!!! Cut it!!! I’m just not a facial hair/long hair on guys fan…however if you wanted to visit the Amish communities I’m sure you would fit right in :)

  10. do what Rose says. i personally like bald men… but second to that, I love the shaggy hair look you’ve got going, but the rule is WIFE WINS.

Wow you guys are really help. You are almost split down the middle. But really, thanks for your input. I’m still processing it. And no, my wife’s opinion does not rule all Jenni. She loves me no matter what. Not that I don’t care about her opinion, but she doesn’t get to decide for me. Come on. My house is not a her dictatorship.

I think I agree with the slight trim opinion…kind of looks like the skateboarder look right now…the beards cool though!

You & Rose have the coolest relationship!

  13. Matt says:

Hey buddy, Aaron Rodgers called and wants his looK back!!

With that said I think a trim would be the right move, no stash though!

  14. Ben says:

Keep on going. We’ll be beard buddies. Ha ha! After showing you how I looked with long hair last night, I have no regrets about having my hair long. Some guys go their whole life and never know what it’s like to have long hair. But as a fellow metro, I say keep on growing it but keep it styled. Keeping it styled will also keep Rose off your back. :)

  15. Dude, keep it going. and then, yes, i would like to see you run across the country!

I forgot to add, you look like you needed Mylanta.
