According to my Google Reader, I read 93 blogs. And yes, it is almost impossible to keep up with all of them.
(By the way, if you are new to reading blogs, I thoroughly recommend using Google Reader for reading blogs. You can grab my feed right HERE.)
I figure most of you don’t read 93 blogs so I thought I’d give a shout out to some of my newer favorite blogs (you can always check out a great list I made HERE of great blogs). Here are some of the most recent additions to my reader that I’ve really enjoyed reading lately:
- Burnside Writers Collective- This is a blog written by a big group of writers. But the good thing is that they don’t post too often. Usually about a one a day. They were helped in their founding by Don Miller and were given their name by the Burnside Street in Portland, Oregon. They writer about everything (with a Christian slant) and I love it all.
- Confident Writing- This is a blog written by Joanna Young. I don’t really consider myself a writer, but because I blog I figure I might as well do it “confidently
She posts about once a day and it is always helpful and challenging in how I can blog and write better. - Tony Jones- Tony recently moved his blog over to Beliefnet. I’m fairly sure that Tony and I don’t agree on a lot of things. But I respect Tony for living out his faith in Christ as he feels God leading him to do so. I read Tony’s blog because he challenges the way I think. I think too many Christians just read what they agree with. I don’t find that helpful at all.
- Bob Hyatt- Bob is the head pastor of Evergreen Community. They are a church in downtown Portland that meets in a bar. Bob is a pretty new read for me, but I’ve enjoyed reading his thoughts on politics and his story of going through college and seminary on his way to becoming a pastor. It inspires me.
So I’m looking for your help. I feel this need to start reading some new stuff.

“Harry Rud”- He is an anonymous aid worker in Afghanistan. He often posts about his personal experiences living there and working w/ Afghanis to help est. a better country. It’s interesting to see his perspective as he is right there, in all the confusion of identifying the needs of the people…from a humanitarian’s point of view. He gets discouraged, he has good days and bad and he writes about it when he has the time. I highly recommend. – http://harryrud.wordpress.com/ -
