Embarrassing Social Media Moment

I woke up around 8am, like usual. Came downstairs. Decided to read through the morning emails and such.
The morning wasn’t really much different than others.
As I was reading through a comment on my most recent blog post (here is that post), something was different.
Someone was correcting what he felt like was a typo.
In a sentence I had desired to refer to the church as a living “organism” but in reality I had referred to the church as a living “orgasm.” I’m not kidding. I’m really not kidding.
Luckily the post had only gone live about a few hours before and I didn’t have too many readers, so only about 10 people had read that post before I changed the typo.
Needless to say, it is by far my most embarrassing social media moment.
Tyler Braun.
That would be use of a word which has somewhat slightly stronger meaning in the US & the UK than it does down here…
Oops.
I don’t even want to put it here.
And, uh, you’ve got another typo in this post Tyler…it’s just not quite as embarrassing
you didn’t think that was on purpose?
i changed it just to eliminate confusion.
Phew…
You misspelled social.
i’m sure i’ve had one but i can’t top that. i did however get distracted and try to give the key to my room (while on a mission trip) to our student pastor (who is also a co-worker!) instead of to my husband. this occurred in front of 27 people from our church including my son, my husband, some of our students and my husband’s co-worker. They all found it hilarious.
Hahahahaha. That’s amazing! I can’t think of anything at the moment that I’ve done that’s embarassing via Social Media, but I’m sure it’s bound to happen. Right now I keep messing up on Twitter and doing DMs as @ replies.
