This is another post in a series I’m doing of questions that some of you asked. If you would like to add your question, go here and do so.
Today’s question is from David Goodwin. David is from Australia and is active on Twitter and on his blog. Definitely check out some of his stuff. He asked:
Who would be your ideal dinner guest? (only choose living people)
As with any dinner, I would hope Rose would be a part of it. Sadly we work opposite schedules so often that we rarely have dinner together sitting down at the dinner table. That happens about once every couple weeks (no joke).
Let’s say a typical dinner consists of 4 people. So I’ll name my other 2 ideal dinner guests since Rose will be there.
- Tiger Woods: And yes I probably would have included him on this list before everything went down Thanksgiving weekend. And yes it is kind of an obvious and bland answer, but I think a Christian needs to reach out to him with the hope of Jesus. Yeah I know, a bland reason…but honestly, I agree with Mr. Hume that Christianity is the answer, though I’d like to talk to him about Jesus not about turning to “the Christian faith.” Plus it would be fun to talk about golf with Tiger for an hour.
- Chris Tomlin: I’ve met him before and he’s definitely the reason I’m a worship leader today. I fell in love with his music my junior year of high school before anyone knew who he was. I learned how to play guitar with his songs, and it would be incredible to pick his brain for an hour about song writing, theology, leading worship, and music. Plus he could help me with the tough conversation that I’ll be having with Tiger.
If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
