This week I had the first real experience of our recession. Rose and I went out to dinner on Monday night to a fairly popular restaurant (we had a gift card). We arrived to a restaurant that wasn’t even close to half full and a shopping area that was practically deserted. It was a little bit eerie. I think we’re going to be able to get some great deals for gifts this Christmas, which is always a good thing.
