Fortuitous Bouncing

Quick Hits

  • Apparently someone thinks I’m too liberal and signed me up for email updates from GOP.com. I got an email from John McCain yesterday. Needless to say, I unsubscribed.
  • The Olympics were more exciting while swimming was going on. The only exciting thing the past 5 days has been Usain Bolt.
  • Driving home from Seattle on Tuesday morning, on 4 hours of sleep in the previous 40 hours, I had both a double shot mocha and a RockStar energy drink. Neither of them had any affect on me whatsoever. I was pretty messed up!
  • School starts next week so I’ll finally have some good content for all of you wondering where my good posts have gone.

  • Donald Miller is giving the benediction Monday night at the Democratic National Convention. He is a great Q/A time about it HERE.
  • Matt Singley has started a series on “dirty church secrets.” Both Jay and I agree he is turning into Anne Jackson with his titles 🙂 With that said, he had a great post on The Sabbath.
  • Rich Kirkpatrick on the myth that worship can’t be anything like the Olympic Opening Ceremony. I could probably write something similar to this, but he says it a lot better than I can.
  • At this point there are too many blogs to list that have written about Healer. I think I’m going to wait until more information comes out before I come to a decision on how to or not to respond to all this.
  • TC Robinson on postures of worship.
