I think tonight was a ground breaking night for Christians on the internet. Tonight was the launch of LifeShare. You can read about it HERE. I’ll be following along the lines of their ideas of how this can work. Here is what people are saying about it so far…
The idea comes from Carlos, Tony, and the guys at the LifeChurch.tv internet campus. You might ask me…”Tyler, you don’t go to LifeChurch, so why are you supporting this?” To that I would say, this isn’t about any specific church, this is about being THE CHURCH. Which is exactly why I’m going to focus in on this through the next 7 days on my blog.
The great thing is that this is only going to be as big as all you readers want it to be through your blogs, Facebook pages, and in the comments.
I think tonight was an example of how God can use the internet to draw people to Himself.
I have a goal that within the next week that somehow this idea will bring about a face to face hang out time with someone who I don’t know yet. I don’t have a million readers a day so that won’t be easy, but I know it can happen, but only with your help.
The picture up above is a symbol of what this internet collaboration means to me. Too often the internet is used as a haven for people who feel completely alone. I hope that as we share our stories of life and relationship with Jesus that we break down the barriers in people’s lives and bring them into community.
If you want to be a part of this beyond just my blog you can read about everything HERE.
