I confess, along with most of you, to have not known or (sadly) cared much about what was going on in Egypt the past 30 years. However, I’ve been greatly fascinated by a nation’s people forcing democracy into place. I hope the Middle East is never the same because of the past 3 weeks and I love that every oppressive leader has had to think “what if this happened here” at some point. Here’s a great quote from Obama’s speech yesterday afternoon after Mubarak had resigned: “For Egypt, it was the moral force of non-violence that bent the arch of history toward justice.”
Over the past year I’ve been helping run social media for The Mentoring Project, but this past week was my last. A combination of me not having time/energy and them needing to make budget cuts led to the change. If you’re ever looking for a non-profit to support, I’d look there before anywhere else.

- Recently finished a book titled “In Christ Alone” by Sinclair Ferguson. It’s a great book of theology on the person and work of Jesus and I would highly recommend it. Best theology book I’ve read in a while.
- Where have all the Presbyterians gone? Interesting Wall Street Journal article on the decline of denominations in America.
- Being a Twins fan means I despise the White Sox with everything in me. Reading this earlier in the week only fed that appetite.
