Mid-Term Madness

2009 March 20
by Tyler

I thought about trying to write something meaningful today, but it just isn’t going to happen. The combination of march madness and having a midterm on the 4 gospels today has absolutely warped my brain.

I have nothing meaningful except lots of information about North Dakota St. (who will beat Kansas today) and Matthew/Mark/Luke/John.

I have quite a few good posts that I’ve been working on for a while that I will post next week, so you can be looking forward to that. In fact, you want to be able to read them you can subscribe to my blog HERE or get email updates HERE.

My question for you today is…

Who did you predict to win it all (men’s tournament)?

And who are the two or three teams you are rooting for?

My answers: I picked Louisville to win it all and I always root for Duke and Gonzaga.

I picked Louisville as well. I would be very surprised if North Dakota State pulls off the upset, especially since so many people seem to think it may happen. That should be enough motivation for the Big 12 champs to play like they’ve played most of the year.

But then again I’m a Kansas fan.

I picked Louisville to win it and will be rooting for Louisville (I have a hard time picking teams I don’t like), Kansas of course, Syracuse, Western Kentucky and any other team that is playing against UConn, Duke, North Carolina, Memphis, UCLA and Michigan State.

My 7 year old son and 11 year daughter and I did a bracket based on whose mascot was tougher. Pretty funny … We got 11 out of 16 right yesterday, too! :-) They decided Spartans could beat Blue Devils … so it’s Michigan State to win it all. My husband thinks we should have maybe used the rankings for the tops seeds and only used mascots for the teams in the middle. I said we preferred to stay idealogically rigid ….

March Madness? I just don’t watch it now that Josh isn’t at home to watch it with. I enjoy the couch-side game interaction/enthusiasm.

I’m praying for your assimilation, recollection, inspiration and insight as you prepare for your exams and how you will apply what you have learned throughout the opportunities ahead, my friend!

    Picking against Kansas?

And I thought you had taste.

I picked them to win it all last year. I don’t hate, I just call em like I see em and North Dakota St gave them a good run this morning.

Tyler, I’m very disappointed in your standing in Eugene’s pool. I’m 21/24 so far… boo-ya!
