The Lord's Prayer

This past weekend we showed a video of the Lord’s Prayer spoken in several different languages. I (as you will see) was the token white guy who speaks English :) The message was on prayer and the video was powerful. Props to Janet and Kent for helping it come together. Let me know what you think.

I’ll probably post the actually shooting of my part in a couple days. I screwed up a lot…it’s kind of funny.

That’s way cool. It’s beautiful to see people praise God in other languages. I can’t believe that God can hear all prayers from all over the world simultaneously, different languages and all.

One time we were at a church meeting, and the whole auditorium of around 300 was broken off into groups of 5 or so. Those groups started praying aloud and from the back of the room, it sounded like a massive room of voices. I couldn’t believe that God could hear every single prayer, know every thought, and care about each and every one in that room as his own. I couldn’t help but think about how incredible this was… and this was in a tiny room, in a little city, in a sparsely populated state, in one country of the whole world.

I loved this video when I saw it on Sunday, but have to ask: How could you possibly screw up your line? Your little teeny paltry line? The one with four words?

Truly. I want to know the behind-the scenes story… :)

Yes you will see. But basically I recorded the whole thing, the whole prayer and then Kent did the editing between all the people to find the best parts for each. But yes, for the video it seemed as though I had a pretty easily part to memorize.
