It's All Roses

Now and then I like to take Rose to places that she really enjoys. Usually we don’t have the time or the money to do so. Today I thought I would let those last two things go and take her to her favorite places in Portland: 23rd Street and the International Rose Test Garden.

Crazy to think that both of these incredible spots are only 10 to 15 minutes from our place. Not to make any of you jealous, but today it was 74, partly cloudy, and 45% humidity (which is high for here) :) After record heat last weekend this was a nice change. I love Oregon summers!

You do know that there Peninsula Park in North Portland has a beautiful Rose Garden too. It’s in full bloom, I’ve lived in N. Portland since 91 and just stopped by to really look at the flowers.

Peace and have fun in school.

That brought some great memories back from when my wife and I were dating. The Rose Garden was one of our favorite places. Thanks for the memories – I can still smell that place!
