How To Get Swine Flu

In light of my post last week on swine flu, the quickly growing pandemic has been on my mind a lot. After some research, I’ve found that this is the number one way to get swine flu:

As I was looking at this picture, it reminded me of another famous picture. It has to be the same girl and I think this represents how swine flu then gets passed to other kids.

Moral of the story: don’t kiss a pig and then kiss other kids.

The good news is that Homeland Security has now said the the swine flu is probably no worse than a seasonal flu. All that chaos on the news for nothing.

I think the lack of perspective on swine flu comes from most of us not being aware of the 40k deaths every year from “normal” flu. Makes ~200 deaths seem troubling but not alarming.

Love that first picture though.

My building at work now has a bunch of posters telling people to wash their hands. Because it’s not normally a good idea, but now it’s important.
